Harzmuseum
Located directly behind the famous city hall, the Harzmuseum Wernigerode is divided into a natural history and a city history section. The natural history section of the museum gives great details about the Harz mountain, the historic mining as well as specific features concerning climate, flora, fauna and geology. The local history section includes information about handicrafts, churches, tourism and the stunning half-timbered houses. The exhibition is supplemented with pictures and images of artists from the entire Harz. Furthermore, the Harzmuseum displays stunning art for example works from Wernigeröder and regional artists of the 19th century.
